Archie J Shaw

(1904-71)

NB. This is not confirmed as the right Archie Shaw ---Archibald Joseph Shaw, born 24 March 1904, Reading, Berkshire. Died 14 August 1971, Sutton, Surrey.

He started work in 1920 as a junior clerk in the newly built Shell Mex offices on the corner of Parker Street and Kingsway, London. By 1939 he was working as a draughtsman.

After the war he joined the Shell Film Unit, working on diagram animation under Francis Rodker.
